Part 1: How to live with your parents!

Parents. Mum. Dad. They can be the most annoying people in the world sometimes, nagging you to help them with housework, or embarrassing you in front of your friends and yet again embarrassing you if you have stupidly told them that you have a have a boyfriend/girlfriend. Well that's why I'm here here to help, I will give you some tips and ideas to allow you in peaceful harmony with your parents instead of flash arguments.

So here is my top 10 tips for living with your parents:
  1. Do not offer to help them do anything, you will regret this decision later on and wait for them to ask for your help; this suggests that you are happy to help them therefore creating a happy atmosphere.
  2. Never let them buy you clothes without you seeing the clothes beforehand because otherwise you will end up with a tank top and be the laughing stock of your friends.
  3. Don't always have your face glued to your phone, do try and engage in conversation with your parents. You will be rewarded later for this!
  4. Don't let them be your Facebook friend. Just...Don't!
  5. Be polite, I know it sounds obvious but it's the little things that make all the difference like saying "Please" and "Thank you"
  6. Try and avoid any outside excursion with them, you never know which friends you'll see in town; however this is made obsolete if they are buying you something.
  7. Never let them know that you have homework due the next day, because they will have a go at you.
  8. Do surprise them, by like getting them that thing they've always wanted or even just tidy the lounge or something like that.
  9. Never raise your voice if you argue, it will only make things worse.
  10. Don't ask for the most ridiculous, expensive things for Christmas, stay sensible but do suggest that you would like the other big things and you may be lucky and get given them.
Hopefully this has helped you have a better relationship with your parents, keep reading as I will be publishing more posts for "A Teenagers Guide To Life"
